About Founder - Wilna Fourie

Strategic Business Professional | Founder of StratMark NZ Limited

With 28+ years of comprehensive experience spanning strategic planning, financial analysis, and organisational leadership across government, education, and private sectors, I bring a unique blend of academic rigor and real-world business acumen to every client engagement.

My journey began in South Africa's Board of Trade & Industry before establishing myself as a recognised leader in New Zealand's business landscape. As a former Senior Lecturer at institutions including Manukau Institute of Technology, Southern Cross University, and Massey University, I’ve shaped the next generation of business leaders. I maintain deep connections to industry through practical consulting work in New Zealand and Australia.

My diverse experience includes ten years as a successful Business Broker, where I facilitated business sales ranging from $100,000 to $2.8 million, providing me with intimate knowledge of what makes businesses truly valuable and sellable. This was complemented by entrepreneurial ventures and leadership roles at major vocational institutions, including Acting Director at Goulburn Ovens TAFE, where I led transformational change across multiple campuses and achieved significant revenue growth even during COVID-19 challenges.

I founded StratMark NZ to combine my passion for strategic thinking with my belief that successful businesses are built on strong culture, authentic leadership, and the powerful contribution of human creativity. My approach is both analytical and creative, always focusing on the unique story and potential of each organization I work with.

When I'm not developing strategic plans, you'll find me mentoring new business owners through NZ Business Mentors or contributing to community initiatives that support business excellence and innovation.
